Started by knit designer Leah D'Ambrosio in 2015, Wol Hide is an intimate collection of easy feminine sweaters and loungewear, with occasional accessories and home textiles. The brand focuses on making strong sustainable connections driven by a desire to create quality, timeless pieces. Our pieces are made both in the USA and with small factories in Peru.

Each season, we work hard to source materials for special pieces that help to tell a story of a small local farmer, producer, or dyer. Some special domestic producers we work with are :

Sally Fox  -  a pioneer in organic, color grown cotton. her dedication to her work is inspiring, and her cotton yarns are unmatched in quality and beauty.

Pure American Naturals   -   a small farmer in Pennsylvania who raises Angora goats for their Mohair yarn. They have incredibly high standards for sustainable and ethical practices from farming to spinning resulting in soft, natural, luxurious yarns.

Dogwood Dyer   -   using locally grown and foraged plants as well as ethically sourced dyestuffs, she aids in creating sustainable pieces to be cherished. To further reduce environmental impact of the process, 80% of the refuse water is recycled back into her gardens. The resulting colors highlight the the beauty of nature.
